Messages from the past year

2025 has felt like a threshold year, globally tender, politically charged, and emotionally loud. Many have been carrying the weight of world division, wars, and loss while still showing up for work, family, and community. For me, this year held deep contrasts: grief within my family that softened me, alongside the joy of growing my business and creating more spaces of connection through sacred cacao circles, holistic gatherings, women's circles, Reiki, an inspiring cacao retreat in Peru in incredible landscapes, and a growing community rooted in connection and empathy. These spaces reminded me that while the world might feel overwhelming and polarized, most of the people are hungry for presence, ritual, and belonging. Spirituality is essential: staying grounded in the body, honoring our ancestors, being bridges between the physical and spirit world, honoring grief without getting stuck in it, and holding hope as a daily practice.

The lesson of this year is simple: healing comes from the inside but it is also communal. We don’t need louder opinions; we need kinder hearts, compassionate listeners, slower conversations, and people getting together in person. Creating a better society starts locally: supporting your neighbor and small ethical businesses, gathering in circles instead of comment sections, moving our bodies together, and choosing compassion over judgment.

As we look ahead, I’m envisioning what’s next: deeper cacao circles; holistic events that bridge spirituality, art and social impact; circles in Spanish; a powerful retreat in Peru (we have expanded so there is space for you!); collaboration with other like-minded facilitators; and more time to rest and to support my family.

One more message I’m holding from this year is the importance of choice: choosing where we place our energy, what stories we repeat, and who we build with. In a time when algorithms reward outrage and speed, choosing slowness, embodiment, and real-world connection is a radical act. I’ve learned that community doesn’t need to be perfect to be powerful. As we move forward, I invite us to choose practices that regulate our nervous systems, nourishes our bodies, keep us growing at our own pace without losing our humanity, help us support others and also ask for help when we need it, and remember that small, consistent actions are how change actually happens. This is how we move from surviving the times to shaping them.

If 2025 taught me anything, it’s that the future won’t be built by force, but by communities willing to feel, connect, repair, and co-create spaces where we all feel welcome.
